The City of Gibbon has been informed by several residents that they have received emails appearing to come from the City regarding recently submitted building or zoning permits. These emails include an attached invoice. Please be aware that these emails are not being generated by the City of Gibbon.
Do NOT open the attached invoice.
If you receive one of these emails, please contact City Hall immediately.
If you have already paid one of these fraudulent invoices, we will need to notify the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office, and you will need to contact your financial institution immediately.
You can also help by reporting these emails to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center at www.ic3.gov.
