The City of Gibbon would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Gibbon Beautification Foundation for their continued dedication to making our community a place we are all proud to call home.
Most recently, the Foundation completed the beautiful new veterans mural in downtown Gibbon. This impressive piece of artwork serves as a lasting tribute to the men and women who have served our country and adds another unique landmark to our downtown district. The mural honors veterans from all branches of service while creating a welcoming and meaningful focal point for residents and visitors alike.
A special thank you goes to Derek Rusher and the team at Impact Art for their outstanding work, professionalism, and commitment to bringing this vision to life.
The mural is just one example of the many projects the Gibbon Beautification Foundation has championed throughout our community. Visitors and residents can also enjoy the colorful hanging flower baskets that brighten our downtown streets each summer, the landscaping improvements at the south Welcome to Gibbon sign, and the recently purchased Welcome to Gibbon banners displayed along Highway 30 and Court Street. These enhancements create a welcoming first impression for visitors while showcasing the pride our residents have in their community.
These projects do more than beautify our town—they help create a sense of place, strengthen community spirit, and demonstrate the pride residents have in Gibbon. Whether it is through volunteer hours, fundraising efforts, donations, or simply supporting community projects, the people of Gibbon continue to show what can be accomplished when neighbors work together toward a common goal.
Community pride is alive and well in Gibbon. From downtown improvements and beautification projects to parks, events, and community partnerships, there is a tremendous amount of positive momentum throughout our town. The work being done today is helping create an even stronger community for future generations.
What stands out most is the heart behind these efforts. Time and again, volunteers, donors, businesses, and residents step forward to invest in Gibbon—not because they have to, but because they care deeply about the community and its future. That community pride is evident throughout town and continues to inspire others to get involved.
On behalf of the City of Gibbon, thank you to the Gibbon Beautification Foundation, its volunteers, donors, and supporters for helping make Gibbon a great place to call home.
