At last night's City Council meeting, the City of Gibbon had the honor of recognizing Captain Bob Anderson of the Buffalo County Sheriff's Office for his many years of dedicated service to our community.
Captain Anderson is retiring after an incredible 47 years in law enforcement, including more than 32 years of attending Gibbon City Council meetings and serving as a familiar and trusted presence in our community.
For more than three decades, Captain Anderson has been a steady presence at our meetings, providing leadership, guidance, and a commitment to the safety and well-being of Gibbon residents.
In appreciation of his dedication and service, the Mayor and City Council proudly presented Captain Anderson with a Key to the City and a commemorative plaque.
Bob, your leadership, friendship, and years of service have made a lasting impact on Gibbon. While your presence at our monthly meetings will certainly be missed, please know that you will always be welcome in Gibbon!
On behalf of the City of Gibbon, thank you for everything you've done for our community. We wish you all the best in your well-deserved retirement!
👏 Congratulations, Captain Anderson!
